Briana Benavides, LMSW (she/her)

Briana (“Bri”) holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Master’s of Science in Social Work in Social Work Degree from the University of Texas at Austin. She has proficient knowledge of conversational Spanish and excellent clinical skills.

Bri provides for a clients a space where acceptance, understanding, and growth intersect. She is a therapist dedicated to supporting individuals across diverse backgrounds and life stages. Her therapeutic approach is person-centered, integrative, and strengths-based. She believes in the power of collaboration and tailors her methods to meet the unique needs of each individual and family with whom she works.

With a passion for fostering emotional well-being and resilience, Bri has spent years working with children, teens, adults, families, and the LGBTQ+ community. Her practice is grounded in inclusivity, empathy, and respect, creating a safe haven for exploration and healing. She approaches the therapeutic relationship as a partnership and therapy as a journey. You are the expert of your life and she is here to guide you as needed offering tools, resources, and support to facilitate healing.

Bri specialize in creating a nurturing environment where young minds can express themselves, build coping skills, and develop a strong foundation for future well-being. With Children and teens, Bri embraces the innate playfulness of childhood. She incorporates innovative therapeutic modalities such as play therapy and sand tray therapy. These techniques allow children and teens to communicate and process emotions through play, art, and symbolic expression. By providing choice outside of traditional talk therapy, she creates a space where they can engage in the therapeutic process in a way that feels most comfortable and authentic to them.

Inclusivity is at the heart of my practice. Bri is committed to providing a supportive space for individuals of all gender identities and sexual orientations. Bri has extensive experience working with non-binary teens and trans teens, guiding them through the journey of self-discovery and identity affirmation. Bri fosters a space where they can explore their authentic selves and gain the confidence to embrace their identities.

Bri notes that family dynamics play a crucial role in our lives. She works collaboratively with families to strengthen communication, resolve conflicts, and create a harmonious environment that nurtures each member's growth.

Bri also specializes in working with those who possess a range of neurodivergent traits including autism and ADHD. Her approach is centered around creating an inclusive space that celebrates differences and empowers individuals to thrive, tailoring interventions to meet the unique needs of each person.

When not working with clients, Briana maintains ongoing education to stay current with the latest therapeutic techniques, enjoys her pet chinchilla and plays volleyball.
